Martin Bregnballe, co-founder of Fangst, grew up learning about fisheries from his father, a biologist who helped develop world-class freshwater trout farms in Denmark. Although Fangst and his team are using traditional canning methods, Fangst prioritizes sustainable harvesting high-quality Nordic fish, with a focus on responsible freshwater farming and less profitable seafood sources, like sprats and squid, commonly considered bycatch.
