Christopher Kimball for Henckels International 3-Piece Knife Set
I sat down with Zwilling J.A. Henckels to produce three everyday knives that meet the needs of every home cook. Manufactured in Albacete, Spain—where Henckels has been making knives since the 18th century—these knives feature comfortable, midsize polymer handles and tough high-carbon stainless steel that will hold an edge and resist rust. They are constructed from German stainless steel with a forged one-piece design and triple-rivets in the handle. The set includes a 7-Inch Chef's Knife inspired by the lightweight Japanese santoku knife; 5-Inch Utility Knife with a microserrated edge; and 4-Inch Paring Knife with a Japanese-style, acutely pointed kiritsuke tip. — Christopher Kimball

Our Original Cardamom Coffee Sugar, mates our favorite spice with vanilla and a touch of cocoa for a classic paring common in both the Middle East and Scandinavia, and our lighter, brighter Honey-Spice Tea Sugar blend, designed to enhance black tea, blends warm spices with granulated honey and a refreshing mint-lavender finish.

Lamson 8-Inch Chinese Vegetable Cleaver
An American-made version of the classic Chinese-style cleaver, this knife can make quick work of everything from vegetables to fine herbs to a full chicken. The blade is handcrafted from high-carbon stainless steel, which is known for its strength and resistance to corrosion, and is ground with an 18- to 20-degree angle for more edge durability. Plus, the blade belly is gently curved unlike many other Chinese cleavers, so it’s ideal for rock chopping and mincing. The barrel handle carved from ultrahard walnut is comfortable and well-suited to any hand size, and it’s impermeable to water damage. The blade also features double-sided edging—so it works well for left and right hand users.
J.K. Adams for Milk Street Walnut Cutting eBoard
I partnered with Vermont company J.K. Adams to design this Milk Street Exclusive eBoard, with two key features designed for home cooks. One, a magnetic spot to hold a chef’s knife. With young kids, I don’t like knives just lying around. A knife-shaped groove in the board keeps blades lying flat, held in place with magnets, and you can turn the sharp edge safely inward, out of harm's way. Second, I wanted a spot to put my phone so I could see it while cooking — I often use the step-by-step photos and videos at the Milk Street website, and this would be the perfect spot, right on the cutting board itself. I could also take phone calls over speakerphone in a pinch. (The slot is also long enough to hold a tablet.) For the material, we decided on a dark walnut wood with a gorgeous grain, durable enough to withstand denting without blunting or dulling your blades. The color will deepen beautifully with use. — Christopher Kimball

The Milk Street TV Cast Aprons
These neatly designed aprons are the only ones our cooks use on Milk Street TV. They are not a gauzy fashion accessory—I like function in my kitchen with clean designs, without wild colors or cutesy printed messages. These aprons are beautiful, simple and built to last for real cooks, substantial in terms of fabric weight but not overwhelming. The wider-than-standard bibs provides maximum protection from splatters, and the apron itself is the proper length—just above the knee for me. Some aprons are so short that you end up with flour or hot oil on your pants if you’re not careful! For added convenience, the apron's adjustable neck strap uses a metal buckle (similar to a guitar strap) and avoids the issue of loose ends. The thick, durable cotton will soften over time, making for a custom fit, and is machine washable: use cold water and tumble dry low.
Material: 100% Cotton, metal hardware Dimensions: Width: 30 inches, Length: 33 inches, Two 40 inch dyed twill tape waist ties, One 26 inch dyed twill tape adjustable neck strap
Care: Machine wash cold with like colors. Use non-chlorine bleach only. Tumble dry on low setting. Remove promptly.

Mutti Tomato Vinegar
Similar to red wine vinegar but slightly less sharp, Mutti's Tomato Vinegar has a sweet-savory balance and smooth quality reminiscent of balsamic, with an intense sun-dried tomato aroma. It's not too acidic but rather balanced by caramelized sweetness and an earthy umami depth. This complex vinegar enhances raw tomato recipes and can be used in simple applications. We like to drizzle some on caprese salads or toss it in pasta salad, with feta or goat cheese as a creamy counterpoint.
Romertopf 4-Quart Clay Roasting Dish
Popularized in the 1970s, Germany's classic Romertopf (“Roman pot”) is a type of traditional clay cookware designed for braising meat, with a domed lid and roasting dish that are the perfect size for a whole chicken or 11-pound roast. Soaking the lid before each use imbues the porous clay with moisture that's released in the form of steam during cooking, producing tender, juicy meat without the need for constant basting. The bottom dish, meanwhile, has an interior enameled finish that's easy to clean and prevents food from sticking—it's even dishwasher-safe. This handcrafted 4-Quart Romertopf features carved images on its exterior—a rooster, a pig, a tree—that exude a farmhouse charm and sense of nostalgia. Use it instead of a Dutch oven for your favorite meat braises and take it straight to the table for an attractive rustic centerpiece.
A few tips from Milk Street: As with all clay cookware, the Romertopf should not be exposed to extreme temperature shock. For instance, let a hot pot cool to room temperature before running under cold water to avoid cracking. Also, be sure to check temperature and doneness before the time indicated on your recipe. The time spent slowly heating your Romertopf cookware and ingredients in the oven will reduce your cooking time depending on the food being cooked.

Christopher Kimball by Regal Ware 8-quart Covered Stainless Steel Stockpot
Many stock pots are only good for boiling liquids since they are not heavy duty and do not contain a core of aluminum. This 8-quart stockpot is the real deal, with 5-ply stainless steel around an aluminum core. You can boil in it as well as sauté, stew, brown, braise—whatever you want—without worrying about burning or hot spots. Also designed for use on induction burners (this pot rated the best when compared to other premium brands in terms of induction efficiency). Great handles that stay cool on the stovetop and are designed for comfort. This pot can go into a 500 degree oven as well. It's an investment, but this pot will never let you down.
Christopher Kimball for Henckels International 7-Inch Chef's Knife
Our chef's knife blade is 7 inches, not 8. It weighs a bit over 6 ounces, not 10. It has a deeper blade, a huge advantage that makes it easier to rest the flat side of the blade against the knuckles while slicing, which substantially improves comfort and safety. The heel of the blade is scalloped, which means there is room to bring up your fingers for a good grip on the blade for close-up work. It also feels like a knife that you can handle, which won't get away from you like a 20-inch chainsaw or a 12-cylinder sports car. It has enough power to do the job, but it's not overwhelming. The knife also features comfortable, midsize polymer handles and tough high-carbon stainless steel that will hold an edge and resist rust. (To preserve the blade’s edge, we strongly recommend hand washing and drying.) It is constructed from German stainless steel with a forged one-piece design and triple-rivets in the handle. — Christopher Kimball
Christopher Kimball by Regal Ware 8-inch Premium Stainless Steel Skillet
Our five-ply cookware has three layers of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of nonreactive stainless steel. The aluminum core heats evenly and retains that heat well, eliminating hot spots, while the magnetic stainless steel exterior makes this premium cookware ideal for any cooking surface, including induction cooktops. The skillet's heavy-duty construction also ensures that it won't warp over time, unlike thin metal pans that become raised in the center. And the rounded, oven-safe handle feels comfortable and well-balanced in the hand, even when handling a full pan of food; plus, the handle's hollow core is lightweight and stays cool during stovetop cooking. We use an 8-inch skillet for a wide range of kitchen tasks from toasting nuts and spices, to breakfast duty, to omelets, to smaller jobs such as steak for one.
