Javier Gutierrez Esponsa and his team love experimenting with new creative ideas and seeing how glassblowing “mistakes” can lead to new colors and techniques. In this specific set, the shape of the cups are based off of Jicara bark cups that are traditionally used to drink mezcal. They are known to have wide mouths so that the alcohol can evaporate, “leaving room for the full expression of the mezcal.”
