Bobbie Rosenberg invented Bobbie’s Boat Sauce on a sailboat, about 1000 miles from the shores of Portland, Oregon.
She had just caught a rockfish and decided to cook it up right then and there in the boat’s tiny galley using a few flavorings she had on hand—like tomato paste, lime, fish sauce, pickle brine, maple syrup and Thai chilies. After mastering the ratios, she debuted the sauce in stores summer of 2018.
