Le Bon Magot's raisin preserves are a careful balance of sweet and savory, featuring a woody, earthy aroma and dried-fruit depth punctuated by bright bursts of flavor when you bite into the raisins. This marmalata is flavored with an elegant version of ras el hanout, the classic North African spice blend made with cardamom, cumin and cinnamon. The producer uses dried rose petals for added complexity, while smoked cinnamon and a touch of chili impart a lingering warmth.

Spiced Raisin Marmalata will transform any cheese plate and charcuterie, whether you pair it with nutty aged Gruyère or crumbly blue cheeses. Similarly, we like to serve it on toast with ricotta or mascarpone as a counterpoint for the warming spices. You can also use it to glaze roasted vegetables, such as our Roasted Acorn Squash with Browned Butter-Orange Vinaigrette—add a few spoonfuls to the sauce after it has reduced, then adjust the seasoning to your preference. Or keep it simple and add a dollop alongside pork or lamb, similar to how you would serve cranberry sauce with turkey. On the sweet side, spoon some of the preserves over yogurt or ice cream for an aromatic and rich dessert.
