Daphnis and Chloe Smoked Chili Flakes $12.95

In the northern Greek villages of Garefi and Ksifiani, locals hand-harvest their local red horn pepper to make smoked chili flakes that add dimension to a broad range of dishes.

The peppers are smoked every fall in a traditional process that takes three weeks; slow smoking with aromatic birch wood produces a sweet, subtle and delicate chili flake.

HOW TO USE

These smoked chili flakes can add a whole new dimension to pasta dishes, scrambled eggs and omelets (especially stuffed with cheese and greens), grilled cheese sandwiches, steak and even simple roast salmon. Keep a bowl on the table to season pizza, pasta and just about everything else.
