Staub's durable enameled cast iron cooks evenly at a broad range of temperatures, ensures exceptional browning and has low-stick properties for easy, no-fuss cooking: Matthew Card, our creative director of recipes and products, frequently uses his cocotte nestled in the coals of his grill, after which it cleans up beautifully. This 4-quart model is a nice manageable size for everyday use, with a tight-fitting borosilicate glass lid that lets you keep an eye on your food as it cooks, enables steam to circulate and seals in moisture. We love that the company thickly glazes the outside of its cookware and lines the interiors with a matte-black enamel, so it's resistant to chipping. There’s very little you can’t cook in this pot, and we consider it an absolute kitchen essential. Staub's handsome designs and rich colors will look great on any table, and the pieces are durable enough to be passed on to the next generation. Choose between black and graphite grey.
We test everything we sell. Here’s how we’d use this.

Enamel cast-iron cookware cooks evenly and beautifully at a broad range of temperatures and is virtually indestructible. French-made Staub cookware is our favorite manufacturer of cast iron because of the fine craftsmanship, remarkable effectiveness, and handsome looks. In fact, we often take our Staub cookware straight from the stove to the table. They're a beautiful and useful part of our kitchen here at Milk Street and in your homes as well.
