L'atelier du Vin Oeno Motion Wine Key
Sleekly modern and classic at the same time, this wine key from L’Atelier du Vin was designed in France with materials that will last. The vertical lever corkscrew is larger than other models we’ve tried and sturdily built, but what it lacks in compactness, it makes up for in style—made from graceful lines of chrome and solid walnut, the key will blend in with classic and modern bar tools. The device opens bottles and expels the cork in a single sweeping motion of the ergonomic lever (a fan-favorite feature for anyone with limited wrist mobility). A foil cutter comes built in, and the jaw is designed to fit bottlenecks in a range of sizes. The key comes with a spare steel spiral worm and a ready-to-gift box.
Zulay Kitchen Metal Manual Citrus Press Juicer
This two-in-one manual juicer is the top choice of our kitchen team. Its lever-style design is much easier on the hands than a typical reamer style, which requires difficult pressing and twisting, and it’s more efficient than other similar juicers, which require you to buy and store multiple to get every size you need. Made from durable, industrial-grade aluminum, the Zulay’s unique dual-cup design can easily accommodate both lemons and limes. It also inverts the citrus as it juices, accessing spots inside the fruit that other juicers can’t quite reach and catching large pulp pieces and stray seeds along the way. Plus, it directs the juice stream downward, so no more splatter on countertops and clothing.
Elevated Craft Double Walled Hybrid Cocktail Shaker
This cleverly designed cocktail shaker from Elevated Craft includes upgraded features that solve common problems for a home bartender—while keeping you from making a mess. Founder Adam Craft spent two years developing a tool that prevents leakage, sticking and freezing your hands. With double-walled stainless steel and vacuum insulation, this shaker will make the drink ice cold while protecting your hands and keeping condensation at a minimum. Its high-capacity measuring top, with both ounces and milliliters, brings an element of precision to craft cocktails, and the screw-on lid is secured with gaskets to prevent leaks while shaking. A strainer built into the pour spout keeps seeds, ice and other large items out of the glass. And the generous size holds up to 750 milliliters (that’s an entire standard bottle of liquor) even as the slim design makes it easy to grip and shake.

Paguro Upcycle Cubix Upcycled Teak Wood Coasters - Set of 4
This set of four geometric coasters give Indonesian teakwood a second life. Paguro’s artisans source offcuts from furniture factories—remnants after essential pieces have been cut out—then laser cut each coaster, sanding each one by hand and sealing with oil and wax to show off the teak’s natural grain. Ethically produced in Indonesia, these coasters make a unique gift or beautiful addition to your own table.
J. Catma Hand-Stitched Linen Cocktail Napkins - Set of 4
Custom made for Milk Street, these white Hand-Stitched Linen Cocktail Napkins are made in India by young women who finished a four-year apprenticeship in a historic orphanage. Embroidered with floral motifs and edged with hemstitching—a traditional needlework technique that creates an openwork border. Use them as cocktail napkins or coasters, and when you’re done, simply wash them on a gentle cycle.
Dreamfarm Fluicer
Squeezing fresh citrus can be painful and often shoots more juice across your counter and clothes than into your dish. But Dreamfarm’s “Fluicer,” cleverly named to combine “flat” and “juicer,” solves these citrus-squeezing problems. The handheld flat-folding juicer is smartly designed to squeeze citrus from side to side, not top to bottom like most manual juice presses. And it combines a clever hinge and two sturdy handles for an easy squeeze that requires much less force than other juicers we’ve tried (and still gets out all the juice).
The Fluicer can handle citrus of multiple sizes ranging from limes to grapefruits, a built-in strainer catches seeds and the dishwasher-safe squeezer folds completely flat for efficient storage—no more getting your drawer caught on rounded cups.
Durand Wine Opener
Named for the late Yves Durand, a renowned French sommelier, this wine opener is Christopher Kimball’s tool of choice for vintage corks. It’s designed to effectively remove fragile or compromised corks from older wines (though Chris recommends them for any bottle) without breaking them. Throughout years of rigorous testing, the Durand has consistently removed even the most brittle corks whole with its ingenious two part design.
Provence Platters French Oak Ice Bucket
Meet your next heirloom piece. Provence Platters reclaims retired wine barrels from vineyards in the countryside of Napa or Bordeaux and turns each one into stunningly beautiful serving pieces and barware, like this ice bucket. Like great wine, every piece from Provence Platter takes time and skill to perfect. Each piece takes four or five years to make, from drying out retired wine barrels all the way to using woodworking techniques, like tongue-and-groove joinery, to seamlessly assemble the ice bucket. It’s perfect for chilling wine or champagne; a stainless steel liner protects the French oak staves from exposure to moisture. And it’s finished with iron handles, forged by hand in Brooklyn the old-fashioned way: by heating and hand-bending each piece.
Every ice bucket is handcrafted and entirely unique (many will bear their original cooperage marks, which share the origins and construction of each barrel). These are some of the most stunning, elegant reclaimed pieces we’ve seen yet—each one is truly a collectible statement piece. Note: The ice bucket may have a unique wine-stained hue, from the barrels’ first lives.

Crookedwood Hand-Sculpted Muddler
We found these cocktail muddlers from an artisan in Wisconsin, who individually sculpts each by hand to ensure a high-quality and unique product. The detailed contours of the handle make the muddler not only comfortable and easy to use but also beautiful for displaying on a bar cart. Crookedwood uses dense, lustrous hardwoods that are both attractive and durable.
Westmark Bottle Opener and Closer
Made from high-quality steel and silicone, this tool from German company Westmark pulls double-duty as a bottle opener and closer. Compact in design and easy to hold in your hand, use it first to open bottles and twist caps, then slide the bottom rubber back over your unfinished drink—it acts like a bottle stopper to create a tight seal. Our testers were blown away with how well the rubber bottom worked to keep drinks fizzy, even after long periods of time. After a week in the fridge with the Westmark covering it, our sparkling apple cider was still just as fizzy as the day it was opened.
Verve Culture Small Molinillo Whisk
This intricate wooden whisk from Mexico is the traditional tool used to prepare Mexican hot chocolate. Each molinillo is beautifully carved by hand from a single piece of alder wood, resulting in a one-of-a-kind product. And the designs aren't just decorative—the extra nooks and crannies are great for aerating liquid, resulting in an especially creamy drink. Simply roll the shaft back and forth between your palms to whip milk into a light, frothy consistency. For the most authentic experience preparing your hot chocolate and a visually appealing addition to your kitchen, Mexico's time-tested molinillo is perfect.
