Andrée Jardin Handled Dish Brush

Regular price $9.95

Never thought a dish brush could be considered elegant? Think again. This handmade one has a long, ergonomic handle, so it can dig into smaller vessels like tumblers and juice glasses, but the head also detaches for when you need more scrubbing power. And the natural fiber bristles don’t fall out unlike those on some other natural brushes, so it’s a real workhorse. When the brush wears out, you can replace it, too. Plus, it has a useful metal hook at the end so you can hang it to save space.

Nearly 100 years ago on the banks of the Erdre river in Nantes, France, Georges-René Julio began making stunning wood brushes for the home as an apprentice—eventually opening his own business along with his wife, Andrée Jardin, in 1947. Now, their two grandchildren carry on the couple’s legacy, crafting high-quality brushes, brooms and cleaning products rooted in those traditional methods but with a modern sensibility. The business is named after their grandmother to honor her memory.
