This certified organic basmati rice from Pure Indian Foods is aged for at least two years, until every grain is fragrant and aromatic. The longer aging process means the slender, extra-long grains cook up dry and separate easily—unlike mushy, clumpy, sticky generic brands. It’s some of the best basmati we’ve ever tried. Use this light, quick-cooking rice in any recipe, or serve plain or in a pilaf alongside vegetables, meat, or seafood.

HOW TO USE
This rice cooks perfectly with our standard Milk Street ratio of 1 1/2 cups rice to 2 1/4 cup water. Rinsing is necessary before cooking. While this rice is excellent for biryani or pulao, traditional Indian rice dishes, it will work for any recipe that calls for basmati rice. Try it in our Chicken Biryani, Biryani-ish Rice with Chicken, South Indian Lemon Rice, Spiced Chicken with Basmati Rice, Basmati Rice with Ginger and Turmeric and Persian-Style Baked Saffron Rice with Chicken.
