Everdure by Heston Blumenthal Cube Grill
We’re the first to admit that most small grills don’t work. It’s hard to get the charcoal started, it’s hard to control the heat and it’s hard to manuever them because of so much heat in such a small area. This little charcoal grill is the exception to the rule. Not only is it easily portable, as it’s made from lightweight and durable steel, but its unique square shape allows you to distribute charcoal evenly and also have the optimum grilling surface area to squeeze in more steaks than a typical small grill. It’s made with a high-temperature finish with chrome handles, which stay cool to the touch even when the grill is in use. And the design of the firebox allows for enough airflow to start the charcoal, but the chimney-like shape protects it from wind as it lights. The grill grates are perfectly positioned, too—we were able to brown steaks quite nicely without burning them. Plus, the grill also has an integrated storage compartment for extra charcoal or grilling tools as well as a built in bamboo wood tray for serving or to use as a cutting board.
Ñuke Delta Argentinian Style Grill
Handcrafted by artisans in Argentina, this grill in inspired by the gauchos (cowboys) of the Argentinian pampas. It burns both logs and charcoal in its brazier-style fire box and the wide grill bed allows you to move around your heat source of choice to direct heat to different areas of the grill—so you can use high heat or go low and slow. The grill is also lined with refractory bricks that aid in heat retention and guide the heat toward the extra wide 547-inch grill grate, which is adjustable to accommodate different cooking temperatures. The Delta includes a rugged stand with swivel casters and attached steel lid, a full-length vinyl cover, a drawer below the brick-lined base which can be used for accessories or as a warming drawer and an additional steel griddle that nests on top of the fire basket for an extra 188 square inches of cooking space.
Dreamfarm BBQ Brizzle
This barbecue-friendly basting brush is a larger version of Dreamfarm’s Good Design Award-winning Brizzle, the ingenious silicone tool that makes basting easier, more efficient and less messy. The BBQ Brizzle retains the flexible brush head of the original, which bends to scoop up liquid from hard-to-reach corners of bowls or pans to make it easy to spread thick barbecue sauce or glaze over your grilling meat. A weighted curved handle—longer than the original to keep hands a safe distance from the fire—keeps the brush head off the counter (a boon for avoiding both messes and cross-contamination). It’s also nonstick, won’t trap bacteria, dishwasher-safe and heat resistant to 500°F.
BBQ-AID Bristle Free Grill Brush and Scraper
No more worrying about sharp metal bristles that might scratch or fall into your grill or nylon bristles that can melt with too much heat: BBQ-Aid’s Bristle-Free Grill Brush and Scraper is the safer, better solution. Featuring a proprietary triple helix-coiled scrubber made of stainless steel wire, it's highly effective for thick gas grill grates and thin charcoal grates—the brush is gentle enough for use on any material and works on surfaces both hot and cold. The attractive, long acacia wood handle is comfortable to hold with both hands—plus, it's equipped with a sturdy steel scraper to tackle even the toughest cooked-on food.
Iwachu Cast-Iron Grill Pan
This grill pan from Iwachu is made to order from Nambu iron, a traditional Japanese cast ironware known for heat retention and durability that dates back over 400 years. The perfect companion for meat, chicken, fish, veggies, sandwiches and more, the pan is designed with a corrugated wave pattern on the bottom that leaves your burgers and grilled cheese with beautiful grill marks. Its compact, not-too-heavy size is just right for an at-home grilling experience, not too bulky like big cast iron griddles, and easy to use at any time, unlike a full-sized grill. And its natural cast iron construction makes it practically nonstick. Plus, the thoughtfully designed handle stays cool longer on the stove, so you can skip the potholder and still keep your hands safe when handling.
