L’atelier du Vin Bilame Wine Opener with Leather Case

Designed in France by L’Atelier du Vin, this steel wine opener skips the screw entirely. Instead, two slim metal prongs squeeze between the cork and glass bottleneck. Securely gripping the cork from both sides, the prongs allow for a controlled, twisted motion that coaxes corks out cleanly and completely intact. We found the clever design to be especially handy for older bottles, whose fragile, dried-out corks are prone to crumbling under a traditional corkscrew. (No broken cork means no debris floating in your wine—and cork collectors will be happy to see the top remains in one piece.) You can also use the dual blades to slip the cork back into the bottle to save whatever’s left over. The bilame comes paired with a black leather sheath for safe keeping, all tucked inside a gift-ready box.
