Eturel Don Quixote Bread Basket

These hand-sewn bread baskets are structured yet flexible, with printed motifs inspired by “Don Quixote.” Founded in Tembleque, Toledo—about an hour’s drive from Don Quixote’s La Mancha—Eturel’s whole ethos is dedicated to preserving traditional Spanish textiles. They use durable 100% cotton for their bread baskets, which are all hand-woven on looms. (In fact, every Eturel piece is handmade in Spain from start to finish.) The basket lining is light beige with red and blue stripes, while the exterior is made from naturally dyed red or green cotton printed with black-and-white line drawings of scenes, landscapes and characters from Miguel de Cervantes’ 1605 novel. Each piece showcases different designs, so no two baskets are exactly alike. You can use them for bread and pastries, of course, but we also love them for keeping napkins or linens within reach at the table. Available in Small (Red) or Large (Green) sizes.
