Context, given problems I’ll detail below, customer service replaced my initial product. The replacement had the same issues, so they just gave me a refund. I didn’t lose any money on this venture, but now two more pieces of junk I’m puzzled on how to repurpose.
I have pictures linked to corroborate my issues.

I complained about this and got a prompt replacement, though this one had the same floating paint.
While I did get a refund, I thought I’d try it to see it it’d work without losing paint. Charred 4 wedges of tomato. The tomato came out fine and as far as I could tell didn’t bring any paint up. But the pan got hilariously warped after one use. Running it in the dishwasher did very little to remove the stuck on bits of tomato.
From the ad copy:
“The simple design makes it easy to use—no instructions necessary. ”
Ok, so any temp flame is ok, abnd any cleaning method is ok. A Brillo pad was able to scrub the tomato residue off, but it also sanded off the paint!
When I tried to bend the warp back flatter, big flakes of the paint chipped off the rim.
I think this product makes sense without a coating, but you’d have to be using it constantly to keep it from rusting. The coating will be impossible to keep on with any kind of normal use — keep in mind I used it just one time. And maybe it’s perfectly non toxic, but I’d rather not ingest it.
I give this a strong do not buy warning unless they explicitly address the fragility of the paint or coating process.

They sort of look the same and sit in the same space. This is what I was originally concerned about. That some of those paint bits would come off into the food. Read LessRead less about Context, given problems I’ll detail
