Holcomb Stash Salt Cellar

Made from solid ash wood with a chrome-plated metal hinge, Holcomb’s Stash Salt Cellar protects salt from dust and debris while looking high-end on a kitchen counter. Two things set the cellar apart from others we’ve used: The high-capacity, wide-mouthed design and a clever tab that lets you open it with just a knuckle. The cellar is deep enough to hold about half cup of salt and wide enough to reach in and get a big pinch (or to scoop out even more with a spoon). The curved tab is a stroke of genius: If your hands are wet from squeezing a lemon or slick with olive oil, it lets you easily open and close the lid without contaminating your salt. Just push up on the tab with a knuckle to open the lid and push it back down to close.
