Verve Culture | Tortilla Press Kit

Regular price $65.00

This tortilla press delivers uniform street taco-sized tortillas every time. Handcrafted in Mexico from recycled Singer sewing machines and other reclaimed irons, the durable cast-iron press is built with a long-lasting red enamel coating to help prevent rust. A lever helps you evenly press the plates together, while the base and handle are reinforced so it will last for generations. The kit comes with a servilleta (a traditional cloth napkin) to keep your corn or flour tortillas warm after pressing.

Materials: Cast Iron
Dimensions: 6.5 inches
Place of Origin: Mexico

Press smaller tortillas, flatbreads, smash burgers or tostones. To use the press, cover each side with parchment, plastic or wax paper to prevent sticking. Place your dough in the press and close, gently using the lever to squeeze the plates together. Press once and cook for 1 minute, then rotate and repeat.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and diluted soapy water; if you use soap, apply a light coat of oil or cast-iron wax to refresh and protect against ambient moisture. Avoid soaking the press in water. Do not put it in the dishwasher.
