London Sip Stovetop Espresso Maker
For barista-level coffee drinks at home, most people assume you need a fancy (and bulky) espresso machine or complicated gadgets to get the job done. But just one brew with the London Sip Stovetop Espresso Maker proves that wrong. Unlike other stovetop brewers that aren’t compatible with all burners, the London Sip works on any cooktop because it’s made from rust-proof, non-corroding stainless steel, not aluminum—we also like the long heat-proof handle that protects our hands from steam. Simply add hot water to the chamber, fill up the filter basket with coffee grounds and set the stove to medium-low. As the water in the chamber boils, steam in the pot will create pressure, forcing the water up through the grounds to brew a full-bodied, concentrated cup of coffee.
Compact with only a few pieces to assemble, the London Sip is a quick and easy way to make anything from lattes to espresso shots at home with ease. Best of all, unlike some smaller pots, the London Sip can brew up to six cups (equivalent to six shots of espresso), so you can make more than one drink at a time.

Hario V60 Coffee Dripper
Hario’s V60 Coffee Dripper is one of our favorite ways to brew a great cup of coffee. We love the pour-over method, which allows you to control the nuance and flavor notes of your coffee, but most designs are made of fragile ceramic or glass. Hario’s alternative is made of light stainless steel. It’s durable—great to travel with (especially with its removable silicone rubber base)—and it conducts and retains heat well for a hot, flavorful cup every time. The overall design has been around since the ’80s, but now with ribs to keep filter paper from getting stuck on the sides and a larger hole for a faster flow and more clarity in the cup. The conical shape also allows for a deep layering of coffee grounds—pour quickly for a lighter, delicate cup or slowly for a heavier, fuller flavor. Plus, the V60 is large enough to make up to four cups of coffee. You’ll never need your bulky Mr. Coffee again. Available in Matte Black or Silver.
Kinto Capsule Cold Brew Carafe
Ratio Six Stainless Steel Electric Pour-Over Coffee Maker
The gorgeous Ratio Six is the slimmer, lighter-weight and more affordable version of our favorite automatic coffee maker, producing perfect pour-over coffee with the push of a button. No need to contend with a host of variables or settings—this machine does it all for you, from proper water temperature to blooming the grounds and even water disbursement. The “shower head” delivery system mimics a manual pour-over, and the machine also gives the grounds time to bloom before adding the rest of the water. The stunning glass carafe is laboratory-grade, hand-blown borosilicate glass that is resistant to temperature shock. The machine doesn’t have a hot plate, which tends to “cook” coffee and ruin its flavor rather than keep it warm, but there is an optional heat shield that completely surrounds the shower head during brewing to make an extra-hot cup of coffee.
Fellow Stagg Pour-over Dripper
Extracting a perfect cup of coffee requires consistent water temperature: Too hot and the coffee will taste acrid, but too cold and the coffee will be weak and sour. From Fellow, a San Francisco startup that's a favorite among coffee connoisseurs, the Stagg vacuum-insulated dripper keeps temperature constant and prevents heat loss. Plus, the interior has a steeper slope than most pour-overs, maximizing contact between water and coffee grounds. A detachable bottom piece doubles as a drip cup and measuring guide. Fellow offers the Stagg Dripper in two sizes: a traditional X model, or a taller XF version that you can fill up and leave to drip, combining pour-over and immersion brewing methods.
- Dimensions: X: Height: 3.25 inches | XF: Height: 4.75 inches
- Materials: Stainless steel body, silicone gasket
- Care: Hand-wash only
- Includes: X with 15 Filters XF with 20 Filters
Casablanca Market Fnar Tea Glasses — Set of 6
Tea is ingrained in Moroccan culture, and this set of six 8-ounce tea glasses with intricate decorative etching offers an exquisite link to it. The fnar glasses—named after an antique style of oil lamp—are intended to serve traditional Moroccan tea, which usually is a mixture of Chinese green tea, mint and sugar. But the intricate etching also make them decorative enough to be used as candle holders or in centerpieces. Casablanca Market, one of our favorite producers of Moroccan cookware, condiments and spices, is an eco-conscious company, using recyclable materials and employing sustainable practices whenever possible. And they strive to provide financial security for the craftspeople who create their wares, helping to preserve and secure their artistic and culinary heritage.

Wahei Freiz Stainless Steel Cube Kettle
Designed in Tsubame, Japan, by skilled metal craftsmen, this unique stainless steel tea kettle brings water to a boil faster than any kettle you’ve probably tried. The low profile square pot has a flat, thin bottom that distributes heat more equally, so it heats noticeably faster than a standard tea pot, whether it’s on a gas, electric or induction burner. Plus, it’s equipped with a built-in strainer that comes in greater contact with anything you’re steeping, so you can make tea and coffee, or even dashi, directly in the kettle. Prefer it cold? Simply put your kettle in the fridge—the steeped beverage will cool down quickly for satisfying iced drinks. And the compact shape makes for simple storage, made even easier by the fold-down handles. Even better? This kettle won’t make that annoying whistle—instead, you’ll just see the steam of boiling water, ready to go for whatever you’re making.
HIC Ilsa Cast Iron Gas Ring Reducer
Much as we love our stovetop coffee makers, too often the grates over the gas burners are too wide for them to sit safely above the flames. But in Italy, Christopher Kimball was introduced to a simple tool that keeps the country’s ubiquitous stovetop espresso pots perfectly balanced. The Ilsa Gas Ring Reducer consists of high-quality, heavy-duty cast-iron construction that decreases the size of gas burner openings in center grates while absorbing and diffusing heat evenly. It’s fantastic for making coffee, of course, but we find it’s equally useful for any small cookware, from saucepans to tea kettles.
