EAtoCo Nulu Butter Knife

Regular price $24.95

Cold butter is no match for EAtoCo’s two-sided stainless steel knife. Slide the edge that’s finished with tiny loops along a stick of butter and you’ll get long, thin ribbons that melt instantly on a piece of hot toast—even if your butter came straight from the fridge. (The same edge works great on soft butter, too; those curlicue ribbons spread across soft, delicate bread without tearing it up.) Flip the knife over and you have a serrated edge that’s sharp enough to cut through English muffins, toast and even fruit, making this the ultimate breakfast tool. Plus, you can use the serrations to scrape any unwanted burnt bits off your toast without sacrificing the bread underneath. One final design perk: The Nulu knife’s blade is angled upwards from the handle, which means you can rest it flat on your table without smearing butter everywhere. EAtoCo’s tools are handcrafted by highly-skilled craftsmen in Japan’s Tsubamesanjo District of the Niigata Prefecture—the country’s center for hardware production.

Materials: Stainless Steel
Dimensions: 5.9 inches x 1.4 inches x 0.6 inches
Place of Origin: Japan

Use the side of the blade with tiny coiled loops to produce thin ribbons of cold butter that melt on hot toast. The serrated side of the blade is sharp enough to cut toast, bagels, muffins or even fruit, and also doubles as an effective tool for scraping the charred spots off burnt toast.

Hand-wash with warm soapy water and a sponge. If butter gets stuck in the blade, clean it out with a brush or briefly soak the knife in hot water to melt the butter before washing. Do not let the knife soak for long periods of time or store it in a humid environment, as this may cause it to rust.
