These sturdy borosilicate glass measuring cups let you measure, mix and store food in the same container—without ever reaching for plastic wrap. Each cup has a matching lid that snaps on securely (and effortlessly) for leakproof, spill-proof, stackable storage. Because there’s no bulky handles to deal with, they won’t take up half your cabinet space. Clear measurement markings in cups, ounces and milliliters make it easy to measure out portions of stock, sauces, marinated salads, pancake and waffle batter, dressings, you name it. (The markings won’t fade in the wash either.) They’re microwave-safe and capable of handling big temperature changes, so you can melt chocolate then stir in cold heavy cream for nearly-instant ganache. You can also use them for a double batch of dressing or dipping sauce—like the lemon-caper sauce for our Polenta Fries—to cut down on prep later. The bigger cup is big enough to store stocks, soups and even a big pot of Mexican Cowboy Beans (Frijoles Charros). We also love them for soaking dried chilies and mushrooms and steaming roasted peppers: Just pop them in, snap on the lid and let them steam. You’ll have loose, easily peel-able skins in a few minutes.
