This family farm is nestled within the foothills of the Green Mountains.
Situated near the base of Mount Mansfield, Vermont's tallest peak, Mount Mansfield Maple Products harvests maple sap from over 1,000 acres of well-cared-for trees. Its founder and owner, Chris, is a fifth-generation maple sugar maker, and in 2009, he created a website to share his family’s maple crop. (Until then, the company consisted of a plywood platform in the garage and a post office box.) Today, they make award-winning syrup, most recently winning a 2021 Good Food Award—a coveted award that recognizes the best of socially responsible specialty foods—for their organic Dark Robust (Grade B) maple syrup.
