Durably built by Nogent (a 100-year-old French cutlery giant), this 3-inch gadget makes quick work of almost any can: Twist the rubberized handles so it locks in place and just start spinning. As it makes its way around the tin’s rim—with just the power of your thumb and index finger—it rounds off the edges, so no sharp bits remain. But our favorite perk is its compact size: the Super Kim fits snugly in any drawer, apron pockets and tote bags for traveling. (And you won’t lose sight of it, thanks to the bright red handles.) Position the Super Kim’s blade on the inner wall of the rim and twist the handles (with your thumb and index finger) to lock in place. Continue to turn the handles clockwise until a complete circle around the can is cut. To release the blade, simply twist the handles counterclockwise and lift up. Pop into the dishwasher when done, or hand wash and dry thoroughly. For left-handed users, turn the handles counterclockwise (to open the can) and clockwise (to release blade). We do not recommend using the Super Kim on cans with diameters of 2 inches or less.
