These elegant glazed bowls are both heavy-duty and pretty enough to serve from. Made from Portuguese stoneware that’s safe to use in the oven, freezer, microwave and dishwasher, the bowls are designed to prep, cook, serve and store leftovers—all without dirtying a second dish. We love them for crudité and dip spreads: The bowl holds plenty of dip (think hummus, muhammara, labne or guacamole), while the lid doubles as a neat serving plate for olives, veggies, chips, pita wedges and more. You can even make recipes ahead of time and store in the fridge before guests arrive. The same setup works great for soups, stews and chili for one. Have any leftovers? Simply place the lid back and put the whole thing in the fridge. The lidded design and durable stoneware material also makes these bowls great for solo fridge-to-oven-to-table meals; you can marinate smaller chicken parts, fish or tofu and then pop on the lid, put it in the fridge and take it straight to the oven when you’re ready to eat. The dual-purpose lids and wide shape of these bowls make them a dip’s best friend. Fill the bowl with Eggplant and Tahini Dip (Mutabal), Tzatziki,Whipped Feta Dip or Greek Yogurt-Harissa Dip and cover in the fridge. Before serving, flip the lid over to make it a plate, and add crudités, olives, pita wedges, chips or bread. We also like using these bowls to heat up individual portions of soups and stews—like our Pork and Red Chile Stew—while using the lid as a plate for garnishes.
