These linen-cotton placemats from Portuguese textile maker Mariaida will never stain from accidental spills or splatters, thanks to its technical anti-stain coating. The material makes clean up painless—just wipe away things like sauce, drips of oil, wine, the like, with a damp cloth and a little soapy water. (And for deep-cleaning, simply toss them in the washing machine with cold water and mild detergent, then air-dry.) Even with the stain-repellant coating, these placemats maintain the soft, pleasant feel you expect from a linen blend; they’re not stiff, scratchy or plastic-y to the touch. Designed with scalloped edges and subtle, muted tones to suit a wide range of décor. Available in colors Green or Yellow; comes in a set of two.

Wipe up fresh stains immediately with a damp cloth; add a little soapy water for greasy or oily spots. Machine wash in cool or cold water (no hotter than 86 degrees Fahrenheit), then air dry. Iron on lowest temperature.
