These small cannoli aren’t the typical, ricotta-filled offerings you find in Italian bakeries: They have the same delicate, crisp pastry shell, but the fillings are smoother, richer and more intensely flavored. (They’re also miniature—perfectly sized for a two-bite treat.) We’re offering four flavors: rich, coffee-forward Cappuccino; smooth, toasty Pistacchio; nutty Nocciola and velvety, Nutella-like Gianduia. The Cappuccino cannoli features a dense chocolate cream filling that gets extra depth from a hint of espresso; a final dusting of espresso powder adds another layer of coffee flavor. Pistacchio and Nocciola are all about the pistachios and hazelnuts, respectively. Their rich, creamy fillings burst with toasty pistachio or hazelnut flavor, and they have plenty of chopped nuts for garnish—and a little extra crunch. The Gianduia version is great for Nutella lovers, with a creamy chocolate filling flecked with chopped roasted hazelnuts. (And yes, it’s topped with even more hazelnuts.) Each attractive, reusable flip-top tin contains eight individually wrapped mini cannoli, ready to gift (or keep).
