Handcrafted in France from ethically sourced Ecuadorian cocoa, these lifelike chocolate robin’s eggs make a fun, springy gift for Easter and beyond. Their speckled candy shells—which come in shades of brown, white and robin’s-egg blue—encase dark and milk chocolate eggs filled with salted caramel or hazelnut praline. But is isn’t your average Easter candy: Chocolate Detective follows a bean-to-bar ethos, sourcing all their cocoa from a single farm in Ecuador. They roast, grind and refine the beans in-house and finally transform the cocoa mass into silky-smooth chocolate confections. Each set comes with a dozen eggs—eight salted caramel eggs (with brown and blue shells) and four hazelnut praline eggs (with white shells). Just like real eggs, they’re packed in a charming carton, which is made from sugarcane, so it’s completely recyclable.
