Hudson Wilder Sora Short Tumblers — Set of 4
The Sora Short Tumblers from New York-based Hudson Wilder will look beautiful with any table setting and are appropriate for any occasion, from your Tuesday night dinners to your finest dinner parties. They look like updated versions of a lowball glass, with an even height and diameter of 3 inches and about a 10-ounce capacity. Unlike most drinking glasses that have thick, cumbersome bases, this elegant set of four features an evenly thin construction from the sides to the bottom, for an understated minimal design. The glass is almost imperceptibly tapered, for a modernist look that is utilitarian but not austere. And we absolutely love their delicate craftsmanship—each is individually hand-blown to ensure a consistently high quality and clean, rounded edges. Despite being incredibly light and thin, the Sora Short Tumblers are also exceptionally strong; borosilicate glass is much more durable than traditional glass, so the tumblers have the fineness of crystal without the fragility. They are less likely to crack, chip or scratch than other types of glass and are even dishwasher-safe. We also like that the tumblers are resistant to thermal shock, similar to Pyrex, so you can use the glasses for both hot and cold liquids without any risk of shattering.
Kinto CAST Iced Tea Glasses — Set of 4
It's hard to find glassware that is both sturdy and delicate. We like the simple, appealing design of Kinto's iced tea glasses, which are heat-resistant and sturdier than traditional glass. The subtle lip on the rims of the glasses emphasize their sleek tapered shape and also make for easier drinking. Established in 1972 in Shiga, Japan, Kinto incorporates Japanese principles of simplicity and subtle elegance into its tableware designs.
Blomus Insulated Nero Glasses — Set of 2
Blomus' elegant tumblers may look and feel delicate, but don't let that fool you. Made from shock-resistant borosilicate glass, they can be used for hot or cold drinks and have highly effective temperature insulation. When filled with freshly brewed coffee, the cups can be held comfortably without burning your hands. For iced drinks, the double-wall construction prevents any surface condensation—no more water stains, even without a coaster. Plus, the design creates a visual illusion that your drink is suspended in midair for a chic, modern look.
Dreamfarm Orlid Spice Jars — Set of 4
Dreamfarm Orlids are small glass spice jars with airtight multifunctional lids. Push on the lid’s indented latch, and the top layer of the lid pops up reveals a shaker plate divided into thirds, with three sets of holes in a wide range of sizes for all of your spices. The plate rotates easily to select the appropriate size for the spice inside the jar, and the lid can also be opened completely for scooping spices. We found the lid’s spring mechanism to be very effective, and the jars are especially durable because they’re made of shatter-resistant borosilicate glass. This set of 4 jars is stackable for easy storage; Dreamfarm’s product is so cleverly designed that it won a 2020 Red Dot Design Award.
Glass Drinking Straws — 2-Pack
We love these reusable drinking straws because they are durable, easy to clean and reduce waste. They are made from strong borosilicate glass that makes the straw dishwasher-safe, and unlike with metal drinking straws, the clear glass allows you to check whether the inside of the straw is clean. Included in the set is a convenient cleaning brush to reach the inside if your straw needs hand-washing. Its 9.5-millimeter internal diameter is similar to most standard drinking straws, with a medium length of 8 inches.
Eva Solo MyFlavour Oil Carafe
This product from Danish company Eva Solo makes it easy to infuse your own oil. The MyFlavour Oil Carafe has a removable skewer running down its length, which keeps ingredients submerged in liquid for maximum flavor distribution. We also like that ingredients won't clog the bottle, and the drip-free spout ensures easy serving. We don't just use the carafe for infusing oil but also for flavored vinegars: Experiment with combinations such as strawberry-basil, pineapple-basil or blueberry-raspberry. As an added bonus, the carafe is dishwasher-safe and a breeze to clean; you'll want to use it again and again.
