Here’s how these international award-winning ceramics are made at their workshop in Puente del Arzobispo in the Province of Toledo, Spain: After it’s shaped by hand, the pottery dries slowly under the sun and is fired at 1,100 degrees Celsius. Then, it’s glazed and hand-painted by one of the five artists before it gets a finishing fire. Each De La Cal piece also comes signed by its painter, adding a personal touch.
