The handmade brush has a long, ergonomic handle, so it can dig into smaller vessels like tumblers and juice glasses; the head detaches when you need more scrubbing power. The natural fiber bristles won’t ever fall out, unlike other natural brushes, so it’s a real workhorse. It even has a useful metal hook at the end so you can hang it to save space. When the brush wears out, you can replace it with the extra brush head included in the set. Turn to the soft, absorbent sponge for cleaning more delicate dishes, tall bottles or cups, nonstick cookware and items with irregular surfaces. Made with natural ingredients, the soap gets sudsy instantly and it doesn’t leave a filmy residue on dishes like other bars. It’s tough on dish dirt, but gentle on your hands—as it’s made from Marseille soap with organic olive oil. Nearly 100 years ago on the banks of the Erdre river in Nantes, France, Georges-René Julio began making stunning wood brushes for the home as an apprentice—eventually opening his own business along with his wife, Andrée Jardin, in 1947. Now, their two grandchildren carry on the couple’s legacy, crafting high-quality brushes, brooms and cleaning products rooted in those traditional methods but with a modern sensibility. The business is named after their grandmother to honor her memory.

Do not put the brush in the dishwasher. To clean the sponge and remove any bacteria, place it in a bowl filled with water and vinegar, then let sit for an hour. Squeeze out the liquid and put away to dry.
