Made in Hatay, Türkiye, from local tomatoes harvested at the peak of freshness, the only other ingredient in this savory paste is salt, which is used to break down the produce and turn it into a smooth, spreadable paste that doesn’t run. For deeper, richer tomato flavor, use as you would use normal tomato paste in your favorite recipes. For the richest flavor from your tomato paste, try browning it before adding liquid. We especially like it in our Turkish Braised Beans with Potatoes and Carrots, Turkish Minced-Meat Kebabs and Pasta with Tomato, Onion and Butter. It’s also excellent added to a grilled cheese.
