Kamenstein’s tiered storage jar is designed to keep garlic fresher for longer. The main bowl compartment is made from durable, odor-proof ceramic that blocks out light but still offers plenty of airflow, thanks to ventilated holes at the base. The natural cork lid doubles as a bowl for loose cloves with a surprising added benefit–it keeps fruit flies at bay. (Fun fact: the French have been tossing a few dry wine corks in fruit bowls for years.) Whether that’s due to cork’s natural anti-fungal properties or its ability to absorb excess moisture is anyone’s guess, but it truly works. Even better: The two materials work in tandem to regulate the temperature and humidity around your garlic to ensure longevity. Available in White or Red.

Use the ceramic bowl to store whole garlic in a cool, dark, ventilated environment. The cork lid doubles as a convenient (and attractive) place to keep individual cloves; plus, the material naturally discourages fruit flies from setting up shop.

Hand wash the ceramic base with warm, soapy water and let air dry. If needed, spot clean or wipe the cork lid with a damp cloth.
