Blossoms Syrup Rhubarb Syrup
The first ingredient in this Rhubarb Syrup by Blossoms Syrups is real rhubarb juice concentrate, so the syrup actually tastes like rhubarb, not a laboratory formulation of what rhubarb should taste like. With a balanced ratio of tart to sweet, this syrup’s flavor is evocative of strawberry rhubarb pie. Light in taste and color with just enough acidity, it hits all the marks and doesn’t contain any colorings or flavorings. Use it in smoothies, fruit desserts, drizzled over crêpes or added to a gin and tonic.
Blossoms Syrup Passion Fruit
The first ingredient in this Passionfruit Syrup by Blossoms Syrup is real passion fruit juice concentrate, so the syrup actually tastes like passion fruit, not a laboratory formulation of what passion fruit should taste like. One of our favorites from the company, we see why this was the winner of a Great Taste award in 2012 and 2019. It’s sweet—but not cloyingly so—and levels out with a balanced tartness. It hits all the marks, and doesn’t contain any colorings or flavorings. Use it in cocktails or drizzle on desserts. The founders at Blossoms even like swirling it in yogurt.
Shortbread House x Sara Miller Tin - Ginger
Now available in tins made by British home designer Sara Miller, known for her playful prints. Decorated with vivid colors and gold accents, these extra-large tins make perfect gifts or keepsakes. Many store brands lack the rich butteriness of true Scottish shortbread, ending up too gritty or pasty on the tongue, but these treats are truly authentic, handmade from a family recipe. Each one of these classic biscuits is richly buttery and tenderly textured with the perfect amount of crumbliness—with nubs of candied ginger sprinkled throughout that adds zip and a touch of pleasant chew. Warming ground ginger is incorporated into the dough as well, giving it an almost gingerbread-like flavor, but stays lighter and more lively without the addition of molasses. Their sweetness is balanced with a hint of salt, while the addition of ground rice gives these cookies a delightfully light and crisp texture. Dare we say, they’re better than homemade.

Eat This Yum Heirloom Cranberry Compote
This bright-red holiday favorite from small-batch jam maker Eat This Yum starts with ripe cranberries grown in New Jersey. Because cranberries are the star here—they’re blended with only a little d’Anjou pear, candied ginger, port and freshly grated orange zest to help the tart fruit shine. The compote tastes more savory-tart than sweet, a perfect companion for holiday roasts. With a silky texture and traditional flavor, this compote is for anyone looking for a tart cranberry sauce. Get yours while you can—Eat This Yum only makes a little of this every year, depending on how many cranberries they can source, so inventory is limited.
The Bitter Housewife Cardamom Bitters
We like our cocktails and our cardamom. In this case, we get both at once, along with a surprising savory element in these handcrafted bitters from Portland, Oregon. The husky, minty flavor of cardamom pairs particularly well with spicy bourbon or earthy rum. We think these bitters might make the perfect Old Fashioned and add a new dimension to a Dark and Stormy. Beyond cocktails, these bitters are a terrific way to add easy flavor to whipped cream, caramel sauce, rice pudding or a pot of oatmeal.
Eat This Yum Balsamic Caramelized Onions Jam
A little sweet, a little savory, this Balsamic Caramelized Onion spread from Eat This Yum is a cheese board’s best friend. Two varieties of onion, Vidalia and red—paired for well-rounded flavor—are diced and cooked down with balsamic vinegar. The onions get jammy but stay intact for a chutney-like texture—unlike some jams that can feel overly gelatinous. And it’s surprisingly well balanced: Balsamic vinegar shines in this, cutting through the jam’s sweetness for tang and umami. Made with just five simple ingredients, this versatile onion jam pairs well with a variety of savory recipes.
The Bitter Housewife Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters
These handcrafted cocktail bitters from Portland, Oregon, are a modern take on the classic spice profile of Angostura bitters. They add the bitterness you'd expect in an Old Fashioned, but we also liked the spicy warmth the bitters added to seltzer water over ice with a lemon wedge or even a few dashes over roasted root vegetables.
Castillo de Jijona Marcona Almond Butter
Castillo de Jijona’s Spanish Marcona Almond Butter is the only one we’ve found of its kind—it’s made from 100 percent Spanish Marcona almonds, a prized, slightly sweeter, smoother alternative to a conventional almond. The flavor is buttery, rich and neutral, with its only sweetness coming naturally from the almonds. It has a velvety, pourable consistency, much different than the grainier, drier versions made from standard almonds; we found that very little stirring was required upon opening to reincorporate any natural separation of the oils. Try it as an ingredient or a topping for desserts, smoothies, oatmeal, vinaigrettes or vegetables. The butter’s creamy consistency incorporates easily into other ingredients.
